w00rk helped ActionAid transform an old grammar school in Copenhagen into a new hub for Global Citizenship. The Global Platform Denmark included 6 floors of co-working, event space and training facilities for NGOs as well as a youth hostel, activist spaces, a volunteer run café and a public urban garden.
Augmented Desk 00
Augmented Desk00 is an early stage experimentation in rethinking the way we support the #futureofwork and revolutionise our future workspaces. Embedded with a range of sensors and integrating the digital tools that people already use, Augmented Desk00 aims to: Improve individual productivity; accelerate team collaboration and facilitate organisational innovation.
The Enterprise Desk is a pilot in how to support startups and SMEs in a non-central London location. w00rk was commissioned by Vision Redbridge to design the space and subsequently by Redbridge Council to create a wider workspace strategy for the Ilford Central area.
Since 2006 w00rk has been involved in all 4 Impact Hubs in London. From founding members of Impact Hub Islington and strategic designer of Impact Hub King's Cross to designer, operator and shareholder of Impact Hubs Westmister and Brixton.
Impact Hubs London
Impact Hub Tokyo was founded by w00rk in 2012, and opened in 2013 as the first Impact Hub in Japan. The space now houses 100 sq. m. of event space, 100 sq. m. of combined lounge and kitchen space, 200 sq. m. of co-working and meeting spaces, and has since become a template for the design of many Japanese co-working spaces.
Impact Hub Tokyo
In partnership with Brent Council and with support from the Mayor of London w00rk set up the Library Lab in the Willesden Green Library Centre. The Library Lab occupied the previously disused library café, transforming it into a temporary community workspace offering free workshops, lectures, a pop-up co-working space, and crèche.
